This 6 day tour invites you to develop your photographic eye amid Mexico City's striking contrasts of ancient and modern, traditional and avant-garde. Together, we'll explore how to capture the dance of light across Teotihuacán's ancient stones, frame the vibrant palette of Mexican life, and find poetic moments in bustling urban scenes. Whether you're documenting the emotional power of historical sites or the subtle details of Mexican cuisine, you'll develop techniques to convey the authentic spirit of this magnificent city through your unique perspective.

Who Can Join?

Whether you're a novice seeking to improve your skills or an experienced photographer looking for fresh inspiration, this journey is designed to elevate your photography while fostering cultural exchange and personal growth. All cameras including Smartphones are welcome. Non photographers are also welcome.

Itinerary:

  • November 4th: Welcome to Mexico City! After checking into our accommodations in the beautiful Condesa neighborhood, you'll have free time to wander this picturesque district with its Art Deco architecture, tree lined avenues, and vibrant street life. For photographers flying into Mexico City or joining from our San Miguel de Allende trip, Mindy will offer an orientation session with essential photography tips tailored to urban environments.

  • November 5th: Private tour of Coyoacan - Frida Kahlo and Xochimilco

    - Town of Coyoacan 

    - Frida's house 

    - Stop at Coyoacan Market for lunch

    - Visit to Xochimilco 

    - Enjoy a 1 hour ride in the Trajinera boat 

  • November 6th: Private tour of Historic Center

    - Palace of Arts building and see Diego Rivera’s Frescos

    - Postal Office

  • November 7th: Private tour of Pyramids of Teotihuacan

  • November 8th: Customized visit to the Saturday Bazar

    10:00 AM - 2:00 PM 

    - Travel to the Saturday Bazar where you’ll visit several art galleries that surround the square where local artists show their work.

    - Free time in the afternoon for photo review, editing, portfolio review with Mindy.

  • November 9th: Farewell and departures. Our photographic journey in Mexico City concludes today. After a farewell breakfast where we'll share favorite memories from our adventure, you'll depart with a portfolio of compelling photographs, new technical skills, and lasting connections.

Instructor: Mindy Véissid

Mindy is an innovative, award-winning international fine art photographer, founder of Art of Intuitive Photography, a boutique photography school in NYC, and an educator.

Her approach to photography focuses on using intuition, vulnerability and trust to show a deeper sense of who she is and what she sees. Mindy's intention is that her photos tell a story or a poem, guiding the viewer deeper into her image to show that's it's ok to be who you are, to trust yourself and your body (intuition). Mindy's photos have been exhibited in the US and Europe and have been published in various magazines and websites.

Mindy started teaching her Art of Intuitive Photography classes and workshops in 2010. In her classes she helps her students trust their intuition and creativity providing a fun and experiential approach to photography.

You should fly into Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX).

What is your cancellation policy?

There is a nonrefundable deposit of $500 to hold your spot.

The full balance is due by August 1st, 2025. If you are not paid in full by then, we reserve the right to offer your spot to our waiting list or the public, and to retain your deposit.

Cancellation: In the event you need to cancel your trip after your full balance is paid, you will not be refunded. You are welcome to sell or give your ticket to another person. In the event that we have a waiting list we will try to fill your spot with a person from that list.

Travel Insurance: We request that you get travel insurance.. We have used Allianz travel in the past. https://www.allianz.com/en.html

In the case of acts of God, war, disaster, pandemic, border closure or unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to retain your fees and reschedule or make any necessary changes to the trip. Because there is planning on our and the hotel’s part, rescheduling the trip is the best option.
